As you navigate this site you will see many references to remote controls, these range widely in terms ofcomplexity and functionality. We start with basic types, often referred to as learning remote controls, suitable for simple control of a TV and DVD, but once we exceed this level of equipment something a little more advanced is needed.

The next step up is a remote which is programmed, either through PC software or the internet. We tell the remote what equipment you have and what you want to do and it will derive a program to do those things. These remotes are great for systems utilising TV, DVD, surround sound and basic lighting control. This type of remote control can also transmit via radio waves so you can hide the equipment out of sight, great for de-cluttering the lounge.

Once we get into multiple displays (plasma and projector), surround sound systems, DVD, Blu-ray, full lighting control, screen drops, projector drops etc. a more custom programmable remote control is needed. The one shown here is the Philips Pronto; this is programmed by us to meet your individual requirements. Usually the touch of only one button is all that is needed to set up your room so you can watch TV. This may include selecting of a lighting scene, closing blackout blinds, setting up the surround sound system etc.
