Like multi-room audio systems multi-room video systems can be installed in as many rooms as you wish. By selecting the sources you wish to view throughout the property, and in which rooms you wish to view them, we can design a solution for you. Often this will include the main cinema/TV room along with kitchen, bedrooms and bathrooms. Any room in the property can be equipped with a screen and be suitable for inclusion in the system - the gym, swimming pool and even the garden can all be connected to the distribution system. You can watch any source in any location with systems available that can cater for up to 128 sources and 128 outputs. However, it is far more common to have 6 sources: often 2 high definition satellite or cable receivers; a digital media server; Blu-ray player; DVD recorder and CCTV system distributed to between 4 and 8 rooms in addition to the main cinema room.
It is possible to include garden rooms or summer houses located away from the main property in both multi-room audio and video systems. If you wish to enjoy the full surround sound experience in several rooms this is also easily achieved as part of the system.
To help reduce the number of speakers and controllers in each area it is preferable to combine a multi-room audio (pre-existing or not) and multi-room video system together, so you only need one set of speakers and one controller to access all the services in each room.
Another great feature of multi-room systems in general is that room clutter and visible cabling is vastly reduced. This allows you more flexibility with your interior design, as you don’t need to house a Hi-Fi, Sky box, DVD player etc in each room that you want to enjoy them. Automation of screens can also be used to conceal them when not in use, either in the ceiling or wall, again reducing room clutter.
